Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is an Indian romantic drama film directed by Aditya Chopra.The film stars Shahrukh Khan and Anushka Sharma in lead roles. This is a remake of the 2007 Hollywood film The Bucket List. It also pays tribute to the Bollywood classic Shree 420, which was also directed by Chopra's father, Yash Johar. The story follows two terminally-ill cancer patients who are complete strangers but share similar experiences with disease and set out to fulfill their personal ambitions before succumbing to their illness. The two find themselves at crossroads when they both fall in love with the same girl (Anushka Sharma). The two, however, are also brought together by the fact that they are both terminally ill with cancer. It all starts when Shiv Kapoor (Shahrukh Khan) who is a successful architect ends up taking an offbeat project to train hotels in the United States. On his first stopover in Mumbai, he meets Rani Oberoi (Anushka Sharma) who is a vivacious young girl with dreams of becoming a singer. Unfortunately she has contracted cancer and has only six months to live. He tries to help her achieve her dreams but circumstances force them apart. He then starts his training tour. On his last stopover in Mumbai, he bumps into Rani again. He is determined to help her achieve her dreams this time. The story begins when they meet in Mumbai once again. Shiv has completed his training and is all set to go back to the States, when he bumps into Rani, who has lost all hope of becoming a singer. She tries to hide her illness from him but eventually falls sick in front of him and the truth comes out. Shiv promises her that he will make sure that Rani achieves at least one of her two dreams - that she records a song or that she gets married to the man she loves (Arjun Singhania). Shiv goes to L.A., where he finds his old friend Vicky Arora (Imran Khan) settled with three kids. While trying to motivate him, he finds out that Arora has cancer and only has three months to live. He motivates him and gets him married to Maya (Kareena Kapoor) while making sure that Rani's dream of singing is fulfilled. Before this, Shiv finds out about Rani's fiancé - things get heated up between the two because of Arora but they sort it out in the end. Shiv then convinces Rani's father to let her sing one last time before she passes away. Rani gets the chance to sing in front of all the people at a charity show, which she records on tape. Shiv, however, is tensed because he thinks that he has failed his mission - that of helping Rani achieve both her dreams. Shiv then goes to Arora's house to celebrate their wedding with family and friends. He also gifts them a trip to Paris. Maya gives birth one day before they leave for Paris and the whole family leaves from Mumbai airport while Maya stays back in the hospital for a couple of days. cfa1e77820
